Install Windows XP Using/From Pen Drive USB Flash Disk /Flash Drive

1. What you needs to make pen drive bootable.

A. 2GB Pen Drive

B. CD/DVD Drive

C. Windows XP

D. Komku Tool (Freeware Tool)

2. Install Komku Freeware Tool in Computer

By Default Komku install in C: Drive

now open C: Drive and open Komku Folder. now run PeToUSB.exe Tool

Now Click on USB Removeable

Click on Enable Disk Format

Click on Quick Format

Click on Enable LBA (FAT 16x)

you can create Bootable Pen Drive Name in "Drive Label" like XP or Windows XP

Now Click on Start.

press yes to continue

Now computer show a warning

Ignore this warning and press "Yes"

Now Wait For Few Seconds................

Now Press OK & Close PeToUSB Window

Now Run "Command Prompt" From Start > All Programs > Accessories >Command Prompt

Now Write Command "cd\" in Command Prompt

now Write "cd komku" command

now write "cd bootsect" command

Now write "bootsect /nt52 H:" in command prompt 

H: is my Pen drive letter plz write you pen drive letter

after a few seconds computer show a all Operation Complete Sucessfully.

now write "cd.."

and write "cd usb_prep8" and press enter

again write "usb_prep8"

now usb_prep8 show options

0) Change Type of USB-Drive, currently [USB-stick]
1) Change XP Setup Source Path, currently []
2) Change Virtual TempDrive, currently [T:]
3) Change Target USB-Drive Letter, currently []
4) Make New Tempimage with XP LocalSource and Copy to USB-Drive
5) Use Existing Tempimage with XP LocalSource and Copy to USB-Drive
F) Change Log File - Simple OR Extended, currently [Simple]
Q) Quit
Enter your choice:_

now press 1

and select windows xp setup source path. insert windows xp set up cd in cd drive or you can use vitural cd rom and mount Windows XP image file

now enter choice 3

write pen drive letter like d, h, k, u any thing show your pc in my computer

now enter choice 4

now computer show a warning

"WARNING, ALL DATA ON NON-REMOVABLE DISK DRIVE T: WILL BE LOST! Proceed with Format (Y/N)?"write Y and press Enter

wait for few seconds

When Format of Virtual Disk complete

press any key to continue............

press any key on keyboard

making of LocalSource folder is in progress...

Creating of LocalSource folder $WIN_NT$.~LS Ready"
Press any key to continue...

press any key on keyboard

Now computer show this warning

write "yes"

now press "yes"

Again press "yes"

Now, insert Pen Drive into the laptop/notebook/netbook. Go in to the BIOS and select USB HDD/USB ZIP usb bootable device as primary boot device.

now save setting and exit from BIOS and boot PC from Bootable Pen Drive.

Now select "TXT Mode Setup Windows XP, Never unplug USB-Drive Until After Logon"

when text mode setup is complete, computer will restart....

Now at this time select "GUI Mode setup Windows XP, Continue Setup + Start XP"

 

Continue Windows XP setup.... and Done!
Windows XP Installed....

you can use this Bootable Pen Drive to install Windows XP on any computers.
